Jimmy Fallon Announces Rolling Stones Week to Celebrate 'Exile On Main St' Reissue
On May 18th, The Rolling Stones will be reissuing their 1972 classic, Exile On Main St, and to celebrate the event, during the week of May 10th, NBC's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon will be devoting the entire week to an on-air musical salute to the album.
All week long, Fallon's musical guests will include a lineup of not-yet-announced rock acts who will be performing covers of classic compositions from the newly reissued set. This all leads up to Friday, when Fallon will premiere "Stones In Exile," a documentary about the album's creation, on the show.

Rolling Stones Music To Be Featured On American Idol
On March 16, as American Idol's twelve Season 9 finalists continue to vie for the opportunity to advance to the next round, they'll be doing so by besting each other with songs from the Rolling Stones' songbook.
For Tuesday's episode of the widely popular reality television singing competition, the twelve finalists will each have to tackle a Rolling Stones' classic, selecting from a list of 50 songs which can be previewed now on iTunes. Possible performances include favorites such as "Gimme Shelter," "Beast Of Burden," "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want," as well a few well surprising but no less timeless selections, including "Black Limousine," "Fool To Cry," "No Expectations," and "Shine A Light."
With less than 48 hours remaining until the finals begin, contestant Paige Miles of Naples, Florida told Zap2It in an exclusive interview, "As of yet I haven't chosen a song. I've got to sit down and think about that and hopefully I'll find something that will work for me, but yeah, I'm kind of still shocked they're going to let us sing their music. But we're so excited to do it."
The Rolling Stones join a select group of musicians that have had entire episodes of the hit show devoted to their catalogue, whose ranks include Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles.
American Idol airs on Fox Tuesday at 8pm EST and Wednesday at 9pm EST. Check your local listings.
